The Holiday Management feature in Lune Auto Trader allows users to define specific non-trading days to prevent automated strategy execution during market holidays. This functionality is essential for ensuring that trades are not placed during low-liquidity periods or days when the market is officially closed, which could otherwise result in slippage, partial fills, or execution errors.
The Holidays interface is a simple utility panel with the following options:
Add Holiday
Opens a date entry window where you can input a holiday in YYYY-MM-DD
format.
Remove Holiday
Removes a selected holiday from the list.
Close
Closes the Holiday Manager window.
Once added, these holiday dates are saved and used to temporarily suspend order processing on those dates. No alerts will be acted upon, and no trades will be submitted during a holiday.
Click “Add Holiday”.
In the popup window, enter the date using the format YYYY-MM-DD
.
Example: 2025-12-25
for Christmas Day.
Click “Save”.
The holiday will now appear in the main list.
Select a holiday from the list.
Click “Remove Holiday”.
The date will be deleted from your holiday schedule.
Add all known market holidays in advance to avoid unexpected execution during off-hours.
Review and update the holiday list at the start of each calendar year to align with your preferred trading sessions or prop firm compliance schedules.
For traders operating across time zones, ensure your operating system time and timezone are set accurately to match your market region.
U.S. Market Closure
Add 2025-07-04
to block trading on Independence Day.
Christmas Break
Add 2025-12-25
to skip trades during the holiday season.
Prop Firm Rest Days
Use the feature to avoid violations of rules that restrict trading on low-volume days.
