Overview

ProjectX is a cutting-edge, web-based futures trading platform that serves as a gateway to multiple proprietary trading firms. Lune Auto Trader integrates with ProjectX via an API key, allowing you to automate your TradingView strategies across any of the supported prop firm accounts. This provides a flexible and powerful way to manage your automated trading without needing to run local desktop software.

• API Subscription Required: A subscription to ProjectX API Access is required to generate the necessary API key for integration.

• Web-Based Only: This integration relies on the web-based ProjectX platform; there is no desktop application required.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, please ensure you have the following:

• An active account with a prop firm supported by ProjectX.

• A subscription to the ProjectX API Access.

Setup Guide

Follow these steps to get your API key from ProjectX and configure it in Lune Auto Trader.

Step 1: Get Your ProjectX API Key

1. Log in to your trading account on the ProjectX platform for your specific prop firm. You can find the login links for all supported firms here: https://www.projectx.com/login

2. Once logged in, navigate to Settings and click on the API section. Look for Project Linking and click "LINK".

   
3. You will be prompted to link to the ProjectX Dashboard. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one.

4. Inside the ProjectX Dashboard, purchase a ProjectX API Access subscription.

5. After subscribing, return to the Prop Firms ProjectX Platform's Settings > API section and click ADD API KEY.

   
6. Your API key will now be generated. Copy it to your clipboard.

Step 2: Configure Lune Auto Trader

1. Open Lune Auto Trader and click on the Platforms button.

2. Select your prop firm's platform from the list.

3. Click Add API Key.

4. Enter a descriptive name for your API key (e.g., "My Topstep Key").

5. For the username, enter your ProjectX username.

6. Paste the API key you copied from the ProjectX dashboard.

7. Set your environment (e.g., Live or Demo).

8. Click Save.

Your setup is now complete, and Lune Auto Trader is ready to automate trades on your ProjectX-supported prop firm account.

Best Practices

• Secure Your API Key: Your API key provides direct access to your trading account. Treat it like a password and never share it publicly.

• Start with a Demo Account: Before trading with live funds, it is highly recommended to test your setup and strategies on a demo or evaluation account to ensure everything is working as expected.

• Verify Account Details: Ensure your ProjectX username and API key are entered correctly in Lune Auto Trader to avoid connection issues.
